Looking down.
One of the plants we got before finally started blooming. We actually weren’t too sure how it’d turn out since it was all leaves and closed buds at first. With the bright yellow centre and fading pink, it’s very delicate and pretty, yes?

Attention seeker.
Warmer weather means frequent trips to the nearby nurseries and garden centres. While my main focus was on the vegetables and herbs, my mom wanted to pick up some flowers to brighten things up. There were rows upon rows of different varieties, but this one definitely caught my eye. The way the petals opened up perfectly with a colourful pollinating centre in all its glory.

Fallen petals.

As mentioned in the previous post, this “flowering tea” blooms beautifully every year. They’ve really brighten the view by the front window. As soon as they open up though, the flowers only last for several days before falling off.

I found these in perfect position on the grass, with a small snail making itself comfortable among the petals.
